Gov Yusuf Disburses ₦50,000 Empowerment Grants to 6,680 Women

Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, has disbursed ₦50,000 each to 6,680 women to empower them and enable them to support their immediate families.
This was contained in a statement issued by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Mustapha Muhammad, on Sunday.
The disbursement ceremony, held at the Government House, Kano, on Saturday, was attended by scores of women from the 44 local government areas and faithful members of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Governor Yusuf emphasised that the ₦50,000 monthly empowerment grant would enable beneficiaries to contribute to the growth of petty trading across the state.
He revealed that these disbursements had been ongoing since the inception of the current administration, noting that the standard of living for thousands of underprivileged women had already improved significantly.
Yusuf assured residents of continued dividends of democracy and urged them to maintain their support for the administration’s human-oriented programmes.
The governor expressed his appreciation to the State House of Assembly, under the leadership of Speaker Jibril Falgore, the chairmen of the 44 local government councils, and APC members for their roles in ensuring the programme achieves its goals.
In his remarks, the Speaker urged the beneficiaries to take the support as a blessing and appealed to them to make the best possible use of the funds.
