Governor Soludo Mourns Anambra Brothers Lost in Lagos Christmas Fire

Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has expressed deep sorrow over the devastating fire that occurred at the Great Nigeria Insurance House on Lagos Island on December 24, 2025.

In a statement issued by his Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, the governor extended his condolences to all affected families, particularly mourning the loss of three brothers from Anambra State: Steve, Casmir, and Collins Omatu from Ihiala LGA.

Governor Soludo described the deceased as industrious young men and stated their passing was a collective loss to the state. He commended the efforts of Lagos State emergency responders and urged citizens to always prioritize life over property during such incidents.

The governor also called for a thorough investigation into the cause of the fire to prevent future tragedies.
