Gunmen Kidnap 2 Wives, 6 Children of Taraba Monarch
Kidnappers have abducted two wives and six children of Chief of Mutumbiyu, Justice Sani Muhammed (retd), in Taraba State.
The bandits reportedly attacked the monarch’s Jalingo residence in the early hours of Thursday and abducted his two wives and six children.
It was gathered that the monarch, a second class chief, was away at the time of the incident.
The kidnappers reportedly called the monarch and demanded that he should meet them to discuss the release of his family members.
The spokesperson for the Taraba State Police Command, DSP Usman Abdullahi, said “two wives and six children of chief of Mutumbiyu were abducted at about 1am Thursday and effort is being made to rescue them,” he said.
