Harvesters Church Announces Welfare Plan: N50,000 Monthly for unemployed members

Lead Pastor, Harvesters International Christian Center, Bolaji Idowu

The Senior Pastor of Harvesters International Church, Bolaji Idowu, has announced a new welfare program for church members who are currently unemployed but serve in the church.

During a Sunday service, Pastor Idowu declared that the church will provide a monthly payment of N50,000 for three months to eligible members who are without jobs.

The initiative aims to help stabilize these members financially while they seek new employment.

“All those that serve in church that are in between jobs… For the next three months, we’ll be giving you N50,000 every month to help them till they get their next job,” Idowu said.

The pastor explained that the program covers leaders serving in various capacities within the church and emphasized the church’s role in supporting its community.

Eligible members are required to register with the church administration, with Idowu noting that the existing trust built through their service will prevent the need for extensive vetting.

The announcement was met with applause from the congregation.
