Highway Patrol Intercepts Bus Carrying Suspected Human Remains

Operatives of the Federal Highway Patrol in Oyo State have recovered suspected human remains concealed in a passenger vehicle during a routine check along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso, the discovery was made near Guru Maharaji Village on Sunday. A search of the commercial bus traveling from Lagos to Osogbo led to the finding of bones and other items wrapped in a red cloth and hidden among luggage.
The driver, Kazeem Ayegbo, has been apprehended, and an investigation is underway to determine the origin of the items and identify others involved. The police assured the public that the matter is being handled with professionalism and appealed for continued cooperation in providing useful information.
In a separate incident, police confirmed the arrest of a 22-year-old casual worker, Lawal Ibrahim, for allegedly stabbing an 18-year-old colleague, Raimi Ige, to death during an argument at a construction site in Iyana-Ajia, Ibadan. The case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further inquiry.
