INEC Ready to Collaborate with NAF for 2027 Elections
The Chairman of Independent National Electoral Commission, Prof Joash Amupitan, stated that the Commission is glad to work with the Nigerian Air Force for the 2027 general elections.
Speaking during a courtesy visit by the Air Force to INEC headquarters in Abuja, Amupitan highlighted the importance of logistics in conducting credible elections.
He welcomed NAF’s offer to provide logistical support and collaborate with other security agencies to ensure a secure and effective electoral process.
“And I’ve always said this, that an election can only be as good as its logistics,” he noted. He expressed optimism that cooperation with the military could help overcome past logistical challenges and strengthen election management.
The visit reinforces ongoing efforts by INEC to engage security agencies in preparation for a transparent and efficient electoral process in 2027.
