Jigawa Governor Inaugurates Six New Aides, Emphasizes Teamwork and Grassroots Connection

Jigawa State Governor, Umar Namadi, inaugurated six newly appointed aides on Monday, charging them to prioritize teamwork and uphold their oaths of office to drive the state’s development agenda.

The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Council Chamber of the Government House in Dutse, with the oath of office administered by the State Attorney-General and Commissioner of Justice, Abdulkadir Fanini.

Addressing the new officials, Governor Namadi emphasized that the appointments were strategically made to strengthen the machinery of government and improve service delivery. He noted that the aides were selected based on merit, individual capacity, and their strong ties to the grassroots.

“I call on you to always remember your oath of office as it will surely guide you in the discharge of your duties,” the governor stated, urging the officials to embrace collaboration to achieve results that will positively impact the lives of citizens.

The newly sworn-in aides and their respective portfolios are:

Muftahu Majia: Technical Adviser on Higher Education

Salma Wakili: Special Adviser on Entrepreneurship

Adamu Garkuwa: Special Adviser on Hajj Affairs

Mubarak Aliyu: Special Adviser on Intergovernmental Affairs

Musbahu Kaugama: Special Adviser on Special Investment

Bala Sule: Special Adviser on Non-Governmental Organisations

Delivering a response on behalf of the new appointees, Muftahu Majia expressed gratitude for the governor’s confidence in their abilities. He pledged that the team would remain dedicated and introduce fresh ideas to fulfill the administration’s vision for a better Jigawa.

“We will use our positions to support policies that will promote education, investment, and community development across the state,” Majia assured.
