Kaduna Kicks Off Confirmation Testing for 3,000 State Civil Servants

The Kaduna State Government has launched its 2026 civil service examination to confirm the permanent appointments of approximately 3,000 newly recruited public sector workers.

The computer-based testing exercise opened at the Kaduna State University ICT Centre, organized by the Office of the Head of Service in partnership with Kumesh Integrated Concept Ltd. The assessment applies to personnel across state ministries, departments, and all 23 local government areas, excluding tertiary institutions.

Kaduna State Head of Service, Mrs. Jummai Bako, emphasized that passing the examination is a prerequisite for permanent placement within the civil service structure. Successful confirmation unlocks key career benefits, including eligibility for study leave, official service transfers, and sponsored in-service training.

The testing covers professional modules tailored to specific roles including administrative, financial, legal, and medical cadres alongside general knowledge on state and national governance. Bako noted that candidates who do not pass this cycle will be given a second attempt in 2027, while thanking Governor Uba Sani for supporting worker development and funding the state-wide initiative
