Kaiama Abductees Regain Freedom After Six Months In Captivity

The Kwara State Government has confirmed the release of residents abducted from Woro and Nuku communities in Kaiama Local Government Area of the state after six months in captivity.
The development was announced on Wednesday by Olayinka Fafoluyi, the media aide to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, in a post on Facebook.
“Alhamdulillaah and kudos to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, security forces, and everyone who played a role in this huge feat. We are grateful!” Fafoluyi wrote.
The state government did not disclose details of how the victims regained their freedom or whether any ransom was paid.
The Kwara State Government says further information on the rescue operation and the condition of the victims will be made available in due course.
