Kano Police Nab Car Thief, Recover 2 stolen Vehicles

The Kano State Police Command has made a significant breakthrough in combating vehicle theft, recovering two stolen vehicles and arresting a suspected car thief. The command’s Special Intervention Squad (SIS) arrested Ibrahim Abubakar of Hotoro Tishama Quarters on December 16, in possession of a stolen Toyota Hilux with registration KUJ 757 MH.
Investigations led to the recovery of another Toyota Camry with registration GWA 401 MA. The suspect confessed that the vehicles were stolen from Abuja, and further investigations are ongoing to apprehend other syndicate members and recover additional exhibits.
Commissioner of Police Ibrahim Bakori commended the operatives for their diligence and commitment, urging residents to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to the nearest police station or through the command’s emergency numbers: 0803 241 9754, 0812 382 1575, 0902 929 2926.
This breakthrough follows a series of coordinated operations targeted at curbing vehicle theft and related crimes in the state. The command had previously recovered seven stolen vehicles and arrested several suspects linked to the thefts.
