Kefas Reshuffles Taraba Cabinet, Redeploys Four Commissioners

Taraba State Governor Agbu Kefas has approved the redeployment of four commissioners in a cabinet reshuffle aimed at repositioning key ministries for improved governance and service delivery.

The changes affect the ministries of Commerce, Trade and Industry; Water Management and Aquatic Affairs; Waste Management and Resource Innovation; and Social Development and Human Services.

Under the new arrangement, Peter George moves from the Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry to the Ministry of Water Management and Aquatic Affairs. Daniel Ishaku has been reassigned from Water Management and Aquatic Affairs to the Ministry of Waste Management and Resource Innovation.

Bernard Shonzen James Kassa, who previously oversaw Waste Management and Resource Innovation, will now head the Ministry of Social Development and Human Services, while Philip Habu James takes over as Commissioner for Commerce, Trade and Industry.

The state government said the redeployments take immediate effect, expressing confidence that the affected officials will bring their experience and expertise to their new assignments.

The cabinet reshuffle is part of ongoing efforts by the Kefas administration to strengthen institutional performance and accelerate the implementation of policies and development programmes across the state.
