Lagos Police Decorate 35 Newly Promoted Senior Officers

The Lagos State Police Command has decorated 35 senior officers following their recent promotion, in a move aimed at enhancing security operations across the state.

Commissioner of Police Olohundare Jimoh presided over the ceremony held at the command headquarters in Ikeja. Among those elevated were 30 officers promoted from Superintendent of Police (SP) to Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP), and five officers from Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) to Superintendent of Police (SP).

In a statement, CP Jimoh described the promotions as a reflection of the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun’s commitment to professionalism and reward for excellence within the force. He noted that the exercise should motivate all officers toward improved performance.

The Commissioner congratulated the promoted officers and urged them to uphold higher standards of discipline, integrity, and accountability.

“A higher rank comes with increased responsibility,” Jimoh stated. “I am confident that you will continue to contribute meaningfully to the safety and security of lives and property in Lagos State.”

He also thanked the Inspector-General for his trust in the officers and expressed optimism that the promotions would boost morale and strengthen service delivery in the command.
