Lagosians stage protest over economic hardship

A human rights group, Take It Back Movement, has begun a protest in Lagos against the economic hardship being experienced in the country.

The protesters who were gathered under the popular Ojuelegba bridge were seen carrying placards with various inscriptions which expressed their grievances while security agents were also on ground  to forestall any breakdown of law and order.

Recall that the Lagos state police command released a statement on Sunday, February 25, warning intending protesters against violence or acts that could infringe on the rights of others, such as obstruction of traffic and paralyzing the commercial activities in the state.

This is coming hours to the planned mass protest scheduled for February 27 and 28 by the Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC
