Man Arrested for Alleged Kidnapping of 4-Year-Old in Edo
A 21-year-old man, ThankGod Destiny, has been arrested for allegedly kidnapping a four-year-old boy in Benin City, Edo State.
The Edo State Security Corps disclosed that the incident occurred on January 4 at Ikpoba Hill. According to officials, the suspect was apprehended after a commercial bus driver and a female passenger raised an alarm over his conflicting stories about the child’s whereabouts.
The suspect initially claimed he was taking the ill boy to a hospital, but later said they were going to buy shoes. Security operatives on patrol arrested him following the alarm.
The child was rescued unhurt and has been reunited with his family. The suspect has been handed over to the police for further investigation and prosecution.
