Man Dies After Dispute, Two Neighbours Arrested

A tragic incident in the Kubwa area of the Federal Capital Territory has resulted in the death of a resident, Chidera, following a dispute with his neighbours.
According to reports, Chidera sustained severe injuries during the altercation and lost consciousness. He was rushed to Kubwa General Hospital for urgent medical attention, but was pronounced dead on arrival by attending medical personnel.
The two neighbours involved in the incident have been taken into custody by the police as investigations commence.
Confirming the incident, the FCT Commissioner of Police, Miller G. Dantawaye, extended his condolences to the family of the deceased. He used the opportunity to caution residents against resorting to self-help, warning that actions driven by anger often lead to tragic and irreversible outcomes. He urged the public to always seek peaceful and lawful avenues for resolving conflicts.
The command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, stated that the suspects would be charged in court as soon as investigations were concluded.
In a related appeal, the police command encouraged residents to remain vigilant and report suspicious persons or activities through its designated emergency lines. The statement emphasized the importance of timely intervention to de-escalate potentially volatile situations before they turn violent.
