Military Warns Against Support for Criminals, Calls for Public Cooperation

Nigeria’s Armed Forces have issued a firm warning to individuals aiding bandits, insurgents, and terrorists, stating that anyone found alongside such elements during operations will be considered an enemy.
The warning was delivered by the Minister of Defence, General Christopher Gwabin Musa (retd.), during events marking the 2026 Armed Forces Celebration and Remembrance Day. He emphasized that support for criminal groups, whether direct or indirect, must cease immediately.
The Defence Minister also reassured citizens of the military’s commitment to national security, urging the public to support security agencies by providing timely and credible information to aid ongoing operations.
The statement reinforces the military’s continued counter-terrorism and anti-banditry campaigns across the nation, aiming to dismantle criminal networks and ensure safety.
