Mother Abandons 2 Children On Third Mainland Bridge
Police operatives under the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Lagos Command have rescued two children abandoned by their mother on the Third Mainland Bridge.
The children were identified as Chigozie Okonkwo and Bright Okonkwo, aged 10 and 9 years old.
A statement posted on RRS official Facebook page said the operatives were on routine monitoring of the bridge on Friday evening, April 28, 2023, when they ran into the minors.
CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi, Commander, Rapid Response Squad (RRS), has directed that the children be immediately transferred to Adekunle Police station, Yaba, where investigation has commenced on the matter.
