NAF Deploys First Batch of Nigerian Troops to Guinea-Bissau
The Nigerian Air Force has airlifted 86 troops to Guinea-Bissau for the ECOWAS Stabilisation Support Mission.
The first batch — 12 officers and 74 soldiers — departed Abuja in a NAF C-130 aircraft. More personnel will follow in subsequent flights.
Officials charged the troops to represent Nigeria with professionalism and discipline.
The move highlights Nigeria’s commitment to regional peace and security in West Africa.
