NAF Marks Completion of Basic Military Training for 1,296 Personnel

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has graduated 1,296 recruits at the Passing Out Parade of Basic Military Training Course 45/2025, marking their transition from civilians to trained airmen and airwomen. The ceremony was reviewed by Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, who described the graduation as a milestone for the recruits and the Service.
Aneke emphasized that the NAF’s operational effectiveness depends on the quality, discipline, and professionalism of its personnel. He stated that the six-month training programme aligns with his Command Philosophy of building a motivated, professional, and mission-ready force capable of delivering airpower in support of national security objectives.
The graduation reflects the NAF’s efforts to build capable manpower to support ongoing counter-insurgency and counter-terrorism operations nationwide. “The successful completion of this training programme is a testament to the NAF’s commitment to enhancing its capabilities and delivering decisive airpower effects in synergy with surface forces,” the statement said.
The NAF spokesperson, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, said the ceremony marked a significant milestone for the recruits and the Service, underscoring the importance of the training programme in preparing personnel for national security challenges.
