NBA Demands Justice in Case Against DSS Officer Over Alleged Abduction, Rape

The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Dutse branch, has called for swift and transparent justice after a Department of State Services (DSS) officer, Ifeanyi Onyewuenyi, was accused of abducting, raping, and forcibly converting a 16-year-old girl, Miss Walida Abdullahi.,
According to a statement from the branch’s Publicity Secretary, A.B Umar, the case dates back over two years, when the victim went missing at age 16. Her family’s search ended tragically with the death of her mother from trauma. Recently, the officer allegedly contacted the girl’s father to arrange a marriage, revealing her location.
The NBA described the allegations as “an appalling level of barbarism” and a gross abuse of power. A court order issued on January 7, 2026, directed security agencies to arrest and investigate Onyewuenyi. The NBA acknowledged reports of his arrest by the DSS and is now demanding full compliance with the judicial process.
The association pledged to monitor the case closely to ensure justice for the victim and her family, while urging the public to remain calm as investigations proceed.
