NCAA clarifies Qatar airways emergency landing

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA, has clarified that the aircraft’s return to Lagos was precautionary and fully in line with global aviation safety standards, dismissing reports suggesting a near-disaster.

According to the statement by David Okon, Consultant, QUADRANT, the NCAA confirmed that the aircraft landed normally and safely, with no injuries or operational incidents.

“The story includes on-record comments from the NCAA’s Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Michael Achimugu, on X, alongside the airline’s official response,” the statement said
