NDA Extends Application Deadline for 78 Regular Course to May 15

The Nigerian Defence Academy has announced an extension of the application deadline for its 78 Regular Course, giving prospective candidates additional time to complete their registration.
In an official statement signed by the Academy Registrar and shared on X on Wednesday, the NDA said the deadline has been moved from April 30, 2026, to May 15, 2026.
“The Nigerian Defence Academy wishes to inform the general public that the closing date for the sale of application forms for the 78 Regular Course has been extended to Friday, May 15, 2026,” the statement read.
The academy emphasised that all applicants must also register with the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and select NDA as their first-choice institution.
“Applicants seeking admission into the NDA must also apply to JAMB and are required to sit for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME),” the Registrar stated. “Candidates must select NDA as their first choice institution to be eligible for consideration.”
According to the academy, the application process is open to both male and female Nigerians who meet the admission requirements.
Prospective candidates are advised to visit the official application portal, where they are required to generate an Order ID and Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) before making a payment of ₦7,000 for the application form.
“Candidates should log on to the application portal, select ‘Purchase Access Code,’ and follow the instructions to complete their application after payment,” the statement added.
The NDA also noted that a compendium of past questions is available at the Academy Registry at its permanent site in Afaka for candidates preparing for the screening process.
The extension is expected to provide relief to applicants who were unable to meet the initial deadline, while allowing more qualified candidates to apply for admission into the military institution.
