Nigerian Duo Zadok Yohanna and Calvin Okike Make Premier League Ones-to-Watch List

Nigerian youngsters Zadok Yohanna and Calvin Okike have been named among twenty emerging talents tipped to make a breakthrough in the upcoming Premier League season.

Yohanna, a 19-year-old winger, recently joined Brighton & Hove Albion from Swedish club AIK Stockholm for £21.5 million following an impressive campaign where he recorded five goals and four assists in 18 appearances. His acquisition saw Brighton fend off competition from other top English clubs, positioning him as a strong prospect for the Seagulls.

Meanwhile, Hull City’s Calvin Okike has also earned recognition after signing his first professional contract. The 18-year-old defender impressed at the academy level and gained valuable senior experience during a loan stint with Hartlepool United, ultimately winning Hull City’s academy player of the year award for the 2025-26 term.

The compilation, featured in a list of rising stars across English football clubs, also highlights other notable young prospects across Europe, including Arsenal’s Max Dowman, Chelsea’s Dastan Satpaev, Liverpool’s Trey Nyoni, and Manchester United’s Shea Lacey.
