NiMet Forecasts Clear Weather, Hazy Conditions Starting Sunday.

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has released a weather outlook predicting sunny and hazy conditions across the country from Sunday to Tuesday. According to the forecast, the northern region is expected to experience a sunny and hazy atmosphere, with a moderate dust haze anticipated on Monday and Tuesday.

In the central region, a slight dust haze is expected throughout the forecast period, while the southern region is likely to have a cloudy atmosphere with some hours of sunshine in the morning, followed by isolated thunderstorms in parts of Rivers, Bayelsa, Cross River, Lagos, and Akwa Ibom states later in the day.

The agency has warned the public to take necessary precautions, particularly those with asthmatic health conditions and other respiratory issues, as dust particles could be in suspension over the northern region. NiMet also advised motorists to drive with caution, especially during rain, and for airline operators to obtain airport-specific weather reports for effective planning.
