NYSC Opens Portal for Absconded Corps Members
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced the opening of its registration portal for the 2025 Batch ‘C’ remobilisation exercise, scheduled to take place from December 16 to December 23, 2025. This exercise is specifically designed for corps members who absconded during their service year.
In a notice issued by NYSC Management on Monday, the scheme explained that affected corps members who received monthly allowances during their initial service period are required to refund the money through the official NYSC dashboard. “Those who need to refund the monthly allowance received during their initial service period should do so ONLY on the dashboard,” the management warned.
The NYSC also clarified that corps members who had earlier registered for the 2025 Batch ‘B’ remobilisation but could not complete documentation in their state of remobilisation would be required to apply again. “Absconded corps members who earlier registered during the 2025 Batch ‘B’ Remobilization exercise but could not document in the state of Remobilization will need to register afresh for the 2025 Batch ‘C’ exercise,” the statement added.
Furthermore, the NYSC had earlier released deployment details for 2025 Batch ‘C’ prospective corps members, confirming that call-up letters were available for printing. The scheme disclosed that some prospective corps members posted to Lagos and the Federal Capital Territory would undergo their orientation courses in neighbouring states, including Ekiti, Kwara, Ondo, Ogun, and Osun camps for Lagos-bound corps members, and Kaduna, Niger, and Nasarawa camps for FCT-bound corps members.
The NYSC has urged eligible applicants to take note of the timeline and comply strictly with the guidelines. Online registration for Batch ‘C’ had earlier opened on November 4 and closed on November 9 for both locally trained and foreign-trained graduates, as part of its mobilisation timetable.
