Only God, Not Government, Can Guarantee Peace – Oyedepo

The Founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo, has stated that no earthly government or institution can guarantee lasting peace, asserting that true peace is found only in God.

Oyedepo made these remarks while delivering a sermon during the dedication of “Dreamland, Master’s City,” the newly completed worship center of Master’s Place International Church in Warri, Delta State.

Speaking on the theme, “Why Do We Dedicate Places of Worship?” with reference to Romans 15:4, the cleric explained that church sanctuaries are dedicated because they belong entirely to God.

“God is the owner and builder of His Church. Behind every sanctuary is God, so we are dedicating it to the Owner, because God builds all things. The glory of God will fill His house, and this sanctuary shall be His habitation and house of salvation,” Oyedepo stated.

He further admonished worshippers against relying on worldly systems for tranquility, adding that peace cannot be provided by any administration or bought in the market.

The ceremony, which coincided with the International Founders Conference, featured a special reordination and consecration service for the Senior Pastor of Master’s Place International Church, Pastor Korede Komaiya, and his wife, Pastor Esther Komaiya. Oyedepo laid hands on the couple, offering prophetic prayers for the next phase of their life and ministry.

Extending his congratulations to the congregation and leadership on completing the project, Oyedepo declared that greater accomplishments lie ahead for the church.

In his response, Pastor Komaiya expressed gratitude to God and appreciated the senior ministers who attended the occasion.

The landmark event attracted thousands of attendees alongside several prominent Christian leaders, including Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo, Pastor Poju Oyemade, Pastor Bolaji Idowu, Rev. Tony Akinyemi, Rev. Samuel Olubiyo, and Pastor Yemi Davids.
