Osun Governor Welcomes Anti-Corruption Review of Staff Audit Report

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has stated he welcomes any review by anti-corruption agencies of a controversial staff audit report conducted for the state. He emphasized the audit solely examined the civil service payroll inherited from the previous administration of former Governor Gboyega Oyetola.
The audit, carried out by consulting firm Sally Tibbot Limited after Adeleke took office in November 2022, aimed to identify irregularities like ghost workers. In a statement, the governor clarified his administration did not alter the payroll structure it met upon assuming office.
Adeleke further stated his government rejected the firm’s recommendation to disengage legitimate workers, a move he said prevented potential fraud.
He now invites the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) to examine the report, adding that officials from the past administration should be ready to account for its findings.
