Osun Guber: Oyebamiji Votes At Ward 9, Eyes Victory
The Osun State Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress Bola Oyebamiji has expressed confidence that he will win the election after casting his vote on Saturday, August 15, 2026.
Oyebamiji and his wife voted at Ward 9, Polling Unit 011 in Ikire, Irewole Local Government Area. After voting, he commended the turnout of voters and said the presence of INEC officials, voters and security personnel showed that the election was proceeding peacefully.
The APC candidate said he was confident of victory as voting continued across the state’s 30 local government areas. The election is a contest involving incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke, Oyebamiji, ADC candidate Najeem Salaam and other candidates.
The poll is being conducted under heightened security, with security personnel deployed across the state as voters choose the governor who will lead Osun for the next four years.
