Oyebanji’s Re-Election Validates His Outstanding Performance, Says Uzodimma

The Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum and Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma, has congratulated the electorate and government of Ekiti State following the re-election of Governor Biodun Oyebanji.

Addressing journalists at the Ekiti State Government House on Sunday, Uzodimma stated that the landslide victory is a direct reflection of the quality of leadership and tangible achievements recorded during Oyebanji’s first term.

Oyebanji, running under the banner of the All Progressives Congress (APC), secured a historic second term after polling 319,224 votes. He comfortably defeated his closest challengers, Olumayokun Oluyede of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Dare Bejide of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), across all 16 local government areas of the state.

Uzodimma expressed the ruling party’s delight at the outcome, noting that the massive voter turnout and overwhelming backing for the governor signal strong public confidence in the APC administration. He described the election results as proof that good governance yields definitive electoral rewards.

The Imo State governor also extended congratulations to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the national leadership of the APC. He commended the President’s ongoing economic and developmental policies, noting that Nigerians are showing patience and resilience through current economic adjustments as the country moves toward sustainable development.
