Phyna, Nkechi Blessing Set for Celebrity Boxing Bout October 1
Reality TV star Josephina Otabor, popularly known as Phyna, will take on actress Nkechi Blessing in a celebrity boxing bout scheduled for October 1, 2026.
Tagged “Phyna vs Nkechi,” the contest will take place at the Federal Palace Hotel in Lagos as part of the “Chaos in the Ring” series organised by Balmoral Group Promotions.
Balmoral Group Promotions and DAZN Boxing announced the bout on Friday, with the event set to be broadcast live on DAZN and SuperSport.
The bout will mark the first time female celebrities will headline a boxing contest under the “Chaos in the Ring” franchise, adding a new dimension to the celebrity boxing series.
The contest, powered by Bet9ja, is the latest celebrity boxing event under the series, which has previously featured entertainers such as Portable, Charles Okocha, Speed Darlington and Carter Efe.
Promotional materials released by the organisers showed Phyna and Nkechi dressed in boxing gear ahead of the October 1 showdown.
The organisers are yet to announce details of the undercard and ticketing arrangements.
