Police Academy Announces Screening Schedule for 13th Regular Course Applicants

The Nigeria Police Academy (POLAC), Wudil, Kano State, has released the timetable for the screening exercise of candidates seeking admission into its 13th Regular Course.

In a statement issued by the academy’s spokesperson, DSP Umar Isah, the institution said the screening exercise will begin on September 9, 2026, and conclude on September 18, 2026.

Applicants are expected to print their examination slips between August 25 and September 8 ahead of the exercise, which will include a Computer-Based Test (CBT), physical assessment, medical screening and a Selection Board interview.

The academy stated that candidates will participate in the CBT according to their states of origin. The first batch, scheduled for September 9, will feature candidates from Abia, Adamawa, Akwa Ibom, Anambra and Bauchi states, while subsequent batches will hold on designated dates until September 16.

Candidates from Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano and Katsina states are slated for September 12, while those from Kebbi, Kogi, Kwara, Lagos and Nasarawa will sit for the examination on September 13. Other states have also been assigned specific dates throughout the screening period.

POLAC advised applicants to come along with original copies and photocopies of relevant credentials, including educational certificates, birth documents, identification papers, National Identification Number slip and passport photographs.

The academy also directed candidates to appear in white T-shirts, white shorts, white socks and white canvas shoes during the exercise.

According to the institution, applicants should arrive a day before their scheduled screening date, noting that accommodation will be provided within the academy throughout the exercise.

Parents and guardians will not be permitted into the academy premises during the screening period.

The academy further urged candidates to obtain information only from its official admission portal and remain cautious of fraudulent social media accounts impersonating the institution.
