Police Launch Manhunt For Man Over Alleged Sexual Assault Of 17-Year-Old in Ogun

The Ogun State Police Command has ordered a manhunt for a man identified as Kola following an allegation of sexual assault involving a 17-year-old boy.
The Commissioner of Police, Bode Ojajuni, gave the directive after the allegation was formally reported at the Adigbe Police Division on September 8, 2026.
According to a statement by the Command’s Police Public Relations Officer, Oluseyi Babaseyi, on Wednesday, September 9, the teenager, accompanied by his parents, alleged that Kola sexually assaulted him on three occasions in January 2026.
The victim also alleged that the suspect threatened him into silence.
Following the report, the teenager was taken to a hospital within the Adigbe area for medical examination, while detectives commenced investigation into the allegation.
The police said the suspect is currently at large, prompting Ojajuni to direct detectives to intensify efforts to locate and arrest him.
“The said Kola is presently at large, and CP Bode Ojajuni has directed detectives to intensify efforts to locate and arrest him on sight,” the statement said.
The Command clarified that the allegation only came to its attention after the report was made on September 8.
It also assured the public that the case was being handled with urgency and sensitivity.
“The allegation is receiving urgent, professional and sensitive investigation,” the police said, while reiterating its commitment to protecting children and vulnerable persons.
