Portable Explains Walkout and Disqualification in Celebrity Boxing Rematch Against Charles Okocha

Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has detailed his decision to walk out of the ring during a celebrity boxing rematch against actor Charles Okocha, leading to his disqualification.
The contest, held at the Balmoral Convention Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos, ended abruptly during the opening round when Portable exited the ring following a scuffle between the two competitors. Officials subsequently disqualified Portable and awarded the victory to Okocha.
In a video shared on social media following the match, Portable alleged that Okocha resorted to non-standard tactics during the fight, claiming he was bitten and physically choked in the ring. Portable displayed marks on his body to back his statements and asserted that he was dominating the fight before the incident occurred.
Explaining his departure from the ring, Portable stated that he chose to walk away to protect his career and personal well-being, emphasizing that safety was more important than the fight’s financial rewards.
The rematch, dubbed “Unfinished Business,” was arranged after controversy surrounded their initial bout, which Portable had won. Official match proceedings showed the initial boxing match devolving into a physical struggle before referees and event security intervened to restore order. Despite returning to the ring shortly after the disruption, event officials upheld the decision to disqualify the singer.
