PSG Lose 2-1 to Monaco, Still Winless in Ligue 1

Paris Saint-Germain suffered a 2-1 home defeat to AS Monaco on Friday, leaving the defending champions without a win after their opening three Ligue 1 matches.
PSG took the lead in the 31st minute when captain Marquinhos turned in Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s cross.
Monaco responded after the break, with Flávio Nazinho heading in the equaliser in the 58th minute. Stanis Idumbo then completed the comeback in the 72nd minute with a powerful finish from a tight angle.
PSG pushed for an equaliser late in the game, but Monaco goalkeeper Lukas Hradecky made a crucial save to deny Ousmane Dembélé and preserve the victory.
The result leaves PSG with just two points from three league games, while Monaco remain perfect with nine points and move to the top of Ligue 1.
The defeat came on the same day PSG announced that coach Luis Enrique had extended his contract until 2030, alongside new long-term deals for five players.
