Rivers Support for Tinubu 70% Secured – Fubara

Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has expressed confidence that support for President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 general election bid is largely secured in the state, estimating mobilisation efforts to be around 70 per cent complete. Fubara made the claim during the inauguration of the 9.7km Ogbakiri Road project in Emuoha Local Government Area on Thursday.

The governor attributed his optimism to the strong grassroots structures and committed supporters at his disposal, which he believes will deliver the necessary backing for Tinubu in 2027. He cited the reception and support witnessed during project inauguration activities across the state as a testament to his influence.

Fubara revealed that the National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress had acknowledged his efforts and assured him of their support. “They told me they know I’m hardworking and have organic support, and they asked me to transfer this support to the success of our leader, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” he said.

Addressing the crowd, Fubara conveyed his confidence in the party’s prospects, saying, “I told them in the meeting that they shouldn’t worry because we have the rightful soldiers.” The governor’s remarks suggest a strong show of support for Tinubu’s re-election bid in Rivers State, a key player in Nigerian politics.
