Scott Iguma detained for accusing firm of fraud

Nigerian Media personality and influencer Scott Iguma has been detained over allegations of defamation against a real estate firm.

The Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos, ordered that Iguma be remanded in custody till the 21st of July.

Iguma was arraigned on Thursday after his arrest bon Wednesday at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Yaba.

The influencer was accused of calling out the real estate firm for fraudulent practices.

“If anything happens to me, PWAN should be number 1 suspect. If anything happens to my family, nuclear and extended, hold PWAN responsible, even if I fall sick, hold PWAN responsible,” he wrote.

The police however, claimed that his accusations were made with the intent to damage the firm’s reputation.
