Senate Constitutes Committee to Collaborate on Electoral Amendment Act

In response to recent public debate, the Senate has established a 12-member conference committee to work with the House of Representatives on the proposed Electoral Amendment Act.

The President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, announced the committee’s composition during an emergency plenary session held on Tuesday. The group is tasked with harmonizing positions on the contentious legislation.

Notable appointees to the committee include Senator Orji Uzor Kalu and Senator Tahir Monguno.
