Shakira Announces FIFA World Cup 2026 Soundtrack with Burna Boy

Colombian superstar, Shakira has teased the FIFA World Cup 2026 official theme song, a collaboration with Nigerian Afrobeats singer Burna Boy.
Shakira, who has previously collaborated with FIFA for World Cup theme songs over the years, shared a snippet of the 2026 tournament soundtrack via her X handle on Thursday.
According to her post, the song is titled ‘Dai Dai’, and is a collaboration with Afrobeats star, Burna Boy.
It further disclosed that the full song will be released on May 14 ahead of the FIFA tournament, which will kick off on June 11 with Mexico taking on South Africa at the Azteca Stadium in Mexico City.
“From Maracaná Stadium, here is “Dai Dai,” the @FIFAWorldCup Official Song 2026. Coming 5/14. We’re ready! ⚽️🐺 @burnaboy,” Shakira wrote.
Burna Boy has now become the second Nigerian artist to appear on a FIFA World Cup official song after Davido, who featured in the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup song.
Burna Boy has also previously featured in a UEFA Champions League theme song with Becky G in addition to performing at the 2023 Champions League final in Turkey.
It is unclear whether he will perform at either at the 2026 FIFA World Cup opening ceremony in Mexico City or the final at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on July 19.
