Shi’ite Protest in Adamawa Over Killing of Iranian General

Members of the Shi’ite Islamic Movement in Nigeria staged a protest in Numan, Adamawa State, on Wednesday, in reaction to the killing of Iran’s Quds Force commander, General Qassem Soleimani. The demonstration comes amid heightened tensions between Iran, the United States, and Israel.

The protesters, chanting slogans against the US and Israel, burned American and Israeli flags. They carried placards with inscriptions such as “Death to America” and “Death to Israel.”

Meanwhile, a video circulating on social media showed Islamic students, believed to be members of the same group, marching on US and Israeli flags.
