Sikiru Ajibola, 36, Arrested For Raping 5-year-old To Death In Ogun

The Ogun police command has disclosed that it arrested one Sikiru Ajibola for allegedly raping a five-year-old boy to death in Ogijo area of Sagamu LGA in the state.

The state police spokesman, Abimbola Oyeyemi announced the development in a statement on Saturday.

According to the statement, the 36-year-old suspect was arrested following a report lodged at Ogijo police divisional headquarters by Olorunwa Ogijo, chairman of the community development association (CDA), alleging that the suspect raped the boy to death.

“Upon the report, the DPO, Ogijo division, CSP Enatufe Omoh, quickly detailed his detectives to the scene where the suspect was promptly arrested,” the statement reads.

“On interrogation, the arrested suspect confessed to being an homosexual and that while he was having sex with the boy, the boy gave up the ghost.

“He confessed further that he quickly dug a shallow grave in a nearby bush, where he hurriedly buried the boy.

“He has also taken the police to where the deceased was buried.

“Lanre Bankole, the commissioner of police, has ordered the immediate transfer of the case to the Homicide section of the state criminal investigation department for further investigation and diligent prosecution.”
