So-Safe Corps Arrests Suspected Burglar in Ogun State
The Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps (So-Safe Corps) has arrested 27-year-old Ayobami Akodun for allegedly vandalizing and stealing aluminum windows from residential buildings in Basirimi Street, Kajola Railway Station, Ifo LGA.
According to the Corps Commander, Dr. Soji Ganzallo, Akodun was intercepted during a routine patrol at 4:27am on September 6, 2026. He attempted to flee but was chased down and apprehended by officers.
The suspect confessed to being a notorious burglar, specializing in removing aluminum windows, and admitted to escaping arrest on two previous occasions. He also led officers to homes he had previously burgled.
The suspect has been handed over to the Lemode Police Station for further investigation and prosecution.
The Corps urges residents to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to the nearest So-Safe office.
