Tambuwal’s Adviser, PRP Elective Candidates Join APC In Sokoto

The Special Adviser to Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal in charge of the state-owned security outfit, Sokoto Marshals, Bello Malami, has joined the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Similarly, the Governorship candidate of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) in the state, Sa’idu Muhammad Gumburawa and the entire executives of the party have also defected to APC.
Among the defectors were all the three Senatorial, House of Representatives, State House of Assembly candidates, and the party’s officials from state to local governments areas.
The defectors were received by the leader of APC in Sokoto state, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko and the Minister of Police Affairs, Muhammad Maigari Dingyadi and Governorship candidate of APC, Ahmed Aliyu, among others at Wamakko’s residence on Saturday.
In their separate remarks, Malami and Gumburawa vowed to work towards the successes of the party in the next general elections.
Gumburawa noted that considering the situation the people of the state found themselves under PDP-led-government, they came to APC to team up with its leaders and win the elections squarely so that the state would come back to its lost glory.
Receiving the defectors, Senator Wamakko expressed happiness by their coming to APC and described APC as a party for all those who have the state at heart and want it developed.
