“This Victory Belongs to Us All” — Adeleke Rallies Osun to Heal, Unite After Re-Election

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has appealed to residents to set aside their differences and work together for the state’s progress, following his re-election victory in Saturday’s governorship poll.

In a statement posted on his social media page on Friday, the governor thanked the people of Osun for renewing his mandate, calling the win a shared success rather than a personal one.

“My dear people of Osun State, I am deeply humbled and grateful for the confidence you have reposed in me by re-electing me as your Governor,” he said.

Adeleke extended appreciation to traditional rulers, religious and community leaders, civil servants, pensioners, young people, women, artisans, traders, farmers, and other residents who stood by his administration and turned out to vote.

He described the result as a clear reflection of the people’s wish to see his government continue its work.

“This victory belongs to all of us, and I accept this renewed mandate with humility and a deep sense of responsibility,” the governor stated.

The governor also paused to honour those who lost their lives to electoral violence in the run-up to the election, offering condolences to their families.

“As we celebrate, we also remember the victims of electoral violence before the election. My heartfelt condolences go to their families and loved ones. May Almighty God grant the departed eternal rest and comfort those they left behind,” he said.

Adeleke called on residents to move past the tensions of the campaign season and channel their energy into the state’s development.

“Together, let us heal, unite and continue building a greater Osun,” he added.
