Three Children Found Dead At Anambra Native Doctor’s Home

Three children have been found dead at the residence of a female native doctor, popularly known as Ezenwanyi, in Ideani community, Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State.

The discovery was made at the woman’s residence in Umuoduba village, throwing the community into shock.

The children, whose ages were reportedly between six and 15, have not been identified, while the circumstances surrounding their deaths remain unclear.

A community source said the children may have either been working for the woman, who reportedly rears pigs and birds, or could be her children. The claim has not been independently verified.

A fourth person was reportedly found alive at the premises and was taken to a hospital for medical attention.

The woman has since been arrested and is being held at the Ogidi Police Division as investigations continue.

The bodies of the three children were reportedly deposited at a mortuary.

A video circulating on social media showed police officers at the residence following the discovery, while the woman was seen being taken away by security personnel.

As of the time of filing this report, the Anambra State Police Command had yet to issue an official statement confirming the incident or disclose the identity of the arrested woman.

Authorities are expected to establish the identities of the deceased, determine the circumstances surrounding their deaths and clarify the relationship between the children and the suspect.
