Tinubu Wins Gombe APC Presidential Primary with 450,517 Votes

President Bola Tinubu has secured a landslide victory in the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary election held in Gombe State, polling 450,517 votes against his sole challenger, Stanley Osifo, who recorded zero votes.
Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, who served as the APC presidential primary collation officer and Tinubu’s state coordinator, announced the results after collating votes from all 11 local government areas.
Speaking at the collation centre, Yahaya said the exercise was peaceful, transparent, and reflected the confidence party members have in the APC administration. He stated that Gombe State has a total of 550,516 registered APC members, and Tinubu’s overwhelming tally demonstrated the state’s unwavering support for the president ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The governor noted that the result showed APC members in Gombe remain united and committed to the continuity of the Tinubu administration. He added that he would proceed to Abuja to officially submit the results to the party’s national secretariat.
He also commended party stakeholders, electoral officials, security agencies, and the media for ensuring the peaceful conduct of the exercise.
The Gombe State APC chairman, Mohammed Ndus, described the primary as historic and a major step toward preparations for the 2027 elections. He expressed confidence that the endorsement of President Tinubu by party members would translate into electoral victory for the APC.
The collation process was monitored by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, led by the Resident Electoral Commissioner, alongside security heads and election observers.
