Tinubu Extends Europe Stay, Return Shifted To Tuesday
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s return to Nigeria has suffered a last-minute delay.
Presidency sources indicate the President, who was earlier expected back this weekend, will now arrive in Lagos on Tuesday, September 29.
President Tinubu left Nigeria on August 30 for a working vacation in Europe, first visiting London before proceeding to Paris, where he held meetings with French President Emmanuel Macron and businessman Vincent Bolloré.
The President had extended his vacation by a few days. No reason was given for the latest adjustment to his itinerary.
Sources said on arrival, Tinubu is expected to remain in Lagos for several days before returning to Abuja.
The Presidency had maintained that the President remained in constant contact with officials at home and continued to direct government affairs while abroad.
