Tinubu inaugurates first phase of red line rail train in Lagos

The President of Nigeria Bola Ahmed Tinubu flagged off the red line rail train in Lagos yesterday Thursday 29 February 2024.
The project, spanning 37 kilometers, is an intra-state rail service designed to enhance transportation within the city.
The Red Line will share the right-of-way with the Lagos-Kano Standard Gauge Railway, connecting Agbado in Ogun State to Oyingbo in Lagos.
The route includes key stations like Agbado, Iju, Agege, Ikeja, Oshodi, Mushin, Yaba, and Oyingbo.
In his speech, President Tinubu attested that the train project ” is a dream come true.
