Veteran Nollywood Actor Taiwo Hassan ‘Ogogo’ to Be Buried in Ogun on Monday

Veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, widely known by his stage name Ogogo, will be laid to rest on Monday, August 24, 2026, in Ilaro, Ogun State, following his death at the age of 66.

The renowned actor passed away on Sunday afternoon, prompting an outpouring of tributes from colleagues, fans, and members of the entertainment industry.

According to details released by family associates and members of the Ilaro Muslim community, his remains were scheduled to be moved to his hometown on Sunday ahead of burial rites and special prayers.

Funeral prayers are expected to take place on Monday morning at the Asade Agunloye Pavilion in Ilaro, where family members, friends, colleagues, and well-wishers will gather to pay their final respects.
