Victims Of Ife-Ibadan Expressway Fatal Accident Buried In Jigawa
About 12 people who lost their lives in a road accident in Gbongan, along Ife-Ibadan Expressway, Osun State on Friday, have been buried in Jigawa State.
No fewer than 12 people were reported dead and eight others were injured in a road accident in Gbongan, along Ife-Ibadan Expressway, Osun State.
Kehinde Adeleke, NSCDC spokesperson for the Osun Command, confirmed the accident and said the accident involved two commercial buses and a truck.
She said 12 passengers died on the spot while eight others were injured.
A resident said that the deceased’s mass funeral prayer had taken place on Saturday at about 9:00 AM in Shiwarin central mosque and was witnessed by the Emir of Dutse, Hameem Nuhu Muhammad Sanusi, his council members, families and friends of the deceased.
He said most of the deceased survived with wives and children.
The Emir of Dutse Hameem Nuhu Muhammad Sanusi, however, prayed God to grant the souls eternal rest and the families the fortitude to bear the loss.
