We Will Be Ruthless Towards Criminals- Army

The Nigerian Army (NA), has vowed to henceforth, be ruthless to terrorists and other criminal elements across the federation.

It also, warned them to retrace their steps, noting, “the Nigerian Army, within the ambit of rule of law, will continue to ensure that all peace-loving citizens of this country go about their legitimate businesses and live their lives without fear or intimidation’.

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt. Gen. Faruk Yahaya, said this while closing the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Third Quarter Conference, in Abuja over the weekend.

While, urging commanders not to rest on their oars as they forge ahead in the onerous task of securing Nigeria, the COAS, enjoin them to remain determined and committed to their duties.

“Let me seize this opportunity to advise those fueling crises in various parts of the Country to desist from their unpatriotic acts. I strongly advise them to retrace their steps,” he said.

Reiterating his resolve to maintain constant interaction with commanders in the field, Gen. Yahaya said the practice will enable the service to collectively appreciate its efforts in the ongoing operations and other Nigerian Army activities across the country.
